Days have come and gone, and still the dance goes on. Yet things are looking up for both a more progressive party combination, and electoral reform, with the Lib Dems entering negotiations with Labour following Gordon Brown’s shock statement that he will step down as leader of the Labour Party following the kerfuffle of the moment. Strong candidates to succeed him include David Miliband, Alan Johnson, Harriot Harman and Dave’s brother Ed. Whatever happens, it’s looking far more likely now that Clegg can reject Cameron’s overtures, and the Dark Side can be shut out of politics for a bit longer. Yet we shall see what follows this week…
